In the end, I ended up changing my project a bit. Instead of a candle holder, I came up with two different designs to do with incense holders. I still kept with the theme of moons/stars. My first concept was made out of cut out stars and coils. I build a cylinder shape that would stand upright. This turned out to be pretty challenging because I had to build it up high enough to cover the stick of incense. I love how this turned out though because it looks really unique. I plan on putting a purple glaze on it. My second piece was a incense holder that is flat on the able. It holds it at a sideways angle. This design was more simple, but I think it will function well as an incense holder.
